The TrueSign app
After installation, the TrueSign application appears in the App Launcher. It gathers everything that does not live on a record page: configuration, templates, and the three operational views.
| Tab | What it is for | Who |
|---|---|---|
| Setup | All configuration: provider, connection, webhook, quotas, governance — see TrueSign setup | Administrator |
| Envelopes | Every signature request in the org | Admin, supervisors |
| Status | Summary dashboard: counters, activity, alerts | Everyone |
| Bulk send | Bulk sending from a CSV, in 3 steps | TES_BulkSendUser |
| Envelope Templates | The sending templates | TES_TemplateManager, admin |
| Gen Templates | The document generation templates | TES_GenUser, admin |
| Signing Groups | The signing groups | Administrator |
| Logs | Technical journals and asynchronous jobs | Administrator |
Envelopes — every request
The Envelopes view lists the signature requests of the whole org, where the component placed on a record only shows those of the current record.
- Columns: document, status, recipients, linked record, sender, send and completion dates.
- Filters: my sends / all, status, Salesforce object, date range.
- Inline actions: correct, resend, cancel, download the signed document — the same ones as in the component, described in Actions on a request.
- Detail: click a row → signers and their individual status, event timeline, audit log, link to the source record.
This is the reference view for finding a request when you no longer remember which record it went out from.
Status — the dashboard
A summary view of signing activity:
- counters per status — ongoing, completed, expired, cancelled, declined, pending approval;
- activity over the last 30 days;
- alerts: requests expiring within 3 days, requests in error needing action;
- "My sends" / whole org toggle.
The same component can be placed on users' Lightning home page — see Track a request.
Logs — two journals in one tab
The Logs tab carries two views, not to be confused:
"Logs" view — the technical exchanges
Every outbound call to the provider, every inbound webhook, every processing error: level (Info / Warning / Error), timestamp, payload summary, HTTP code. The detail shows the full request and response. Filterable by level, date, operation type and request.
This is the piece to attach to a support ticket.
"Jobs" view — the asynchronous work
Every bulk send, every webhook processing, every purge: status, dates, number of records processed, error count and detailed message. See Jobs & synchronization.
Retention: configurable in Setup (90 days by default); failed jobs are kept 365 days. See Logs & audit.
Where to place the components on your pages
Three components are added to your Lightning pages via App Builder:
| Component | Where to place it | What it shows |
|---|---|---|
| Signature Request | Record page | The sending form + this record's requests |
| Signature Status | Record page | Linked requests, with their actions |
| Dashboard | Lightning home page | "My sends", filters, pagination, sorting |
The Setup › Components screen lists the TrueSign components actually placed in the org — useful to verify an installation or to diagnose an "I can't see TrueSign on my opportunities". Each component comes with a real, zoomable capture, so you recognize at a glance what it displays before placing it on a page. These previews ship with the package (fictitious data, no internet connection required).
