Signing groups — administration

Signing groups (48 s)Real demo — Salesforce org + Yousign sandbox · Watch on YouTube

A signing group lets you send to a team: the first member who signs validates for the group. This page covers group management; sending-side usage is described in the user guide.

Manage groups

The Signing Groups tab of the TrueSign app lists groups with their member count and Active/Inactive state.

Create or edit a group — the edit modal includes:

  • Group Name — the name shown in the sending selectors;
  • Active — an inactive group no longer appears in selectors (requests already sent are unaffected);
  • Members — inline table: first name, last name, email (phone and signing order optional). Group and members are saved in a single operation.

Delete a group — with confirmation; prefer deactivation if the group has a sending history.

Behavior at send time

  • Members are resolved at send time: changing the group afterwards does not affect ongoing requests.
  • Every member becomes a recipient of the invitation; the first who signs validates for the group, the others are notified.
  • The group's identifier and name are kept on each signer for tracking and audit.
warning

A group must have at least one active member to be usable in a send — otherwise the send is blocked with an explicit message. Check your groups after a departure or a team change.

In templates

A template can predefine a group as a recipient (Recipients tab): users then have nothing to select.
