Kill switch — emergency shutdown
The kill switch cuts the Yousign integration immediately and without deployment — the governance move to know before you need it.
When to use it
- Security incident — suspected API key compromise, abnormal behavior.
- Vendor incident — Yousign malfunction, cascading errors.
- Business freeze — audit, closing period, migration.
How
In TrueSign Setup → eSignature → Settings, Governance section: the shutdown toggle cuts the integration for the whole org.
Effects
| While disabled | Behavior |
|---|---|
| New sends (manual, buttons, Flows, bulk) | Blocked, with an explicit message to the user |
| Requests already sent | Keep living at Yousign (signers can still sign) |
| Salesforce data | Intact — requests, templates and history preserved |
Re-enabling restores the service as it was; a click on Refresh (or the webhook) re-synchronizes the statuses of requests that moved during the outage.
If a key is compromised
- Activate the kill switch.
- Revoke the key in the Yousign dashboard (Settings → API) and generate a new one.
- Enter the new key in Settings, Test Connection.
- Review the logs over the suspect period.
- Re-enable, then Refresh the ongoing requests.
Access
The Governance section is restricted to the TES_Admin permission set. The move is reversible and destroys nothing — in doubt, cut first, analyze second.
